Digital Carnet Issuance Begins as of 23 July 2026

Received 13 July 2026 – UKNATACO communication – “there is no longer any need to keep issuing backup paper Carnets if the itinerary includes only digital countries.”

The United Kingdom, European Union member states, Norway, and Switzerland have begun implementing the digital ATA Carnet system as part of the International Chamber of Commerce's (ICC) global digitisation initiative.
