Advisory Published for Carnets to Turkey

We recently posted an Advisory concerning changes in the requirements for carnets issued to Turkey. Note that Authorized Representatives are now subject to additional screening.
Turkish customs had also advised of "partial relief" from customs duties and the scope of penalties for violation of use of the carnet. While boomerang carnets®
is questioning the validity of these requirements under the Istanbul Convention, it is still advisable to comply with the new requirements to facilitate temporary admission into Turkey.
