Boomerang carnets UK Celebrates Anniversary with Liverpool Chamber

This year, boomerang carnets® UK is celebrating its 5-year anniversary with the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce (LCC).  In 2015, boomerang carnets® UK partnered with the LCC to support their service of ATA Carnets to all U.K.-based customers. The partnership brought a faster carnet delivery system with reduced fees to the U.K. and significantly increased the number of companies benefiting from use of the temporary export document.  Less than ten miles from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and three miles from Liverpool2 shipping terminal port, the ATA Carnet issuing office is conveniently located within the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce at One Old Hall Street. 

The partnership has been successful, and more UK businesses are benefiting from using ATA Carnets than ever.  The boomerang carnet delivery system quickly provides ATA Carnets no matter where the departure point in the U.K.  Overnight and same-day delivery options are available.  The updated online application makes applying for an ATA Carnet through LCC easier and faster, getting your ATA Carnet in-hand sooner.

Over the years, the experiences and successes have been many.  One of the highlights last year was the recognition by Her Majesty inviting Sarah Woolley, Liverpool Chamber ATA Carnet Specialist and 26-year export document veteran, to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, to honor her as Chamber leader in international trade.  Sarah said of the experience:  “It was a real honour to be invited to the Garden Party.  You hear of people being invited but you never expect it to be you. The whole day was an amazing experience and meeting the Queen herself was the icing on the cake.”

This anniversary is especially meaningful since all of us have felt the impact from the Covid-19 pandemic.  Through it we have supported the LCC’s export documentation department by promoting the benefits of, and quickly delivering, ATA Carnets to those businesses temporarily exporting.  Curt E.H.
