It matters because each country in the ATA Carnet system issues and manages their own ATA Carnets.  Only boomerang carnets is in two countries.  We call this The Boomerang Benefit, and it is available exclusively to boomerang carnets’ customers.  The Boomerang Benefit is defined by our unique presence in both the U.S. and U.K.  These countries have always had a close relationship and a company in one country often has a second location in the other.  We can service ATA Carnet needs in both countries.   

It matters where you get your ATA Carnet.

The ATA Carnet is an internationally accepted unified customs document for temporarily exported merchandise or goods.  It allows cross border movement of those goods import-duty and -tax free into 87+ carnet countries and territories for up to a year.  The ATA Carnet is known as the Merchandise Passport for boomerang freight® and ideal for Professional Equipment, Commercial Samples, and goods for display at Trade Shows, Exhibitions, and Fairs moving in and out of countries.
