SAVINGS

The amount an orchestra saves by using an ATA Carnet varies for each orchestra and country they are touring to. The import-duty and -tax rates vary by country but, generally range between 10% - 40% of the General List Value. Benefits of the ATA Carnet that orchestras can take advantage of are:

ATA Carnets have built-in security. This is another reason why they are a valuable tool for touring orchestras because they are a unified, internationally recognized customs document. All customs services have approved the temporary entry of the instruments and equipment listed on the carnet. 
 

ATA Carnet Guarantees

Boomerang carnets® UK provides the required ATA Carnet guarantee (to secure the carnet) at competitive rates.

The carnet guarantee is applied for at the same time the carnet application is submitted and does not require a separate application. Obtaining, applying for, or using a rolling guarantee or providing a bank draft is not necessary. Boomerang carnets® UK streamlines the application process by making the carnet and guarantee application a single, online application. Boomerang carnets® UK is a U.K. registered company headquartered at 52 - 56 Leadenhall Street, London, EC3A  2EB and has its ATA Carnet Service Center in Liverpool at Suites G08-G10, Cotton Exchange Building, Bixteth Street, Liverpool, L3 9LQ. It is at Leadenhall Street that boomerang carnets® UK was established in 2014 to partner with the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce to provide ATA Carnets to U.K. businesses.
